For Designers: How We Work
To Begin
Submit a quote request through the Quotes page or email chris@prestigiocustom.com. Please include photos and desired overall dimensions. Once approved, we require a purchase order and 50% deposit to begin.
Shop Drawings
For new builds, we prepare shop drawings for approval. This step typically takes one to two weeks.
The Build
After shop drawings are approved, we begin the frame. Frames are built from alder wood; exposed wood bases, legs, and other details are made to the client’s request. Walnut, oak, and teak are the most frequently requested species.
Frames are fitted with eight-way hand-tied springs, and exposed wood pieces are stained or finished to the approved sample. Production then typically takes four to five weeks until completion.
If the client requests a sit test, we are happy to schedule one. Please coordinate timing directly with Chris at 310.590.1777.
Completed Piece
Once the piece is complete, we send photos for review. Pickup is available from our Inglewood workroom, and we can hold completed pieces until the scheduled pickup date. Delivery is arranged separately; we can provide a moving-company referral if needed.
